Calf muscle, Achilles tendon strains are preventable

With basketball season upon us, I think it would be helpful to post an article that appeared in my foundation’s newsletter, Active Bones, about preventing calf muscle and Achilles tendon strains. Of course, you do not have to be a basketball player to develop these conditions. If you, or someone you know, are dealing with a calf muscle or Achilles tendon strain that are not improving, you should see a orthopaedic specialist for a thorough evaluation and treatment.
