Thank an Athletic Trainer

In recognition of National Athletic Training Month, I want to thank all the athletic trainers I’ve had the pleasures of working with and knowing these past 20 years in my clinic and on school sidelines. If you know an athletic trainer, or see one, thank them for their skills, expertise and care they provide to keep athletes and patients performing at their best. I know my orthopaedic practice is better because of them and my foundation’s Athletic Training Residency Program graduates are making a positive impact on patient care. If your school or club doesn’t have an athletic trainer at the practices and games, get one or get coaches and parents at least trained in CPR. Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin is alive today because of an athletic trainer’s quick and appropriate response.
