Dr. Steven Chudik’s OTRF research for a novel graft in pectoralis major tendon replacement surgery published

For more than 20 years, Dr. Steven Chudik, founder and president of the Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Teaching & Research Foundation (OTRF) has been mentoring medical students from the Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University in honors research. Recently, Dr. Chudik developed a novel and improved surgical technique to reconstruct (rebuild) a chronically torn tendon of the Pectoralis Major muscle with an autologous iliotibial band. With assistance from the honors medical research students, Dr. Chudik’s technique and results were researched and published in the Journal of Shoulder & Elbow Surgeons Reviews, Reports and Techniques.
