OTRF Spring-Summer e-Newsletter looks at IHSA lacrosse, injury prevention for hamstrings and feet, plus Dr. Chudik provides an update on biologics as a cure for musculoskeletal problems

The Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Teaching and Research Foundation’s (OTRF) Spring-Summer e-Newsletter, Active Bones, is packed with interesting and helpful information on an array of topics including how to avoid a hamstring injury after your long winter hibernation and why you should toss your flip flops. Additionally, if you play or have someone in your family who plays lacrosse, you’ll want to read the article on Illinois high school lacrosse finally getting sanctioned by the Illinois High School Association, and Dr. Steven Chudik’s update on the use of biologics being hyped as a cure for a host of musculoskeletal ailments. Dr. Chudik is the founder and president of OTRF, and a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder, knee and sports medicine at his clinics in Westmont and Western Springs, Illinois.
