OTRF CAATE-accredited athletic training residency program accepting applications until March 15

The application period is open for the 2022-2023 CAATE-accredited Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Teaching and Research Foundation’s (OTRF) clinical athletic training residency program. The 13-month educational program enhances certified athletic trainers’ clinical evaluation and surgical skills, increases their knowledge as allied health care professionals and provides interaction with orthopaedic surgeons and other members of the health care team.

Other opportunities include conducting research, educating patients and leading educational conferences for medical professionals. They also will benefit from exposure to a highly efficient orthopaedic practice in Chicago’s western suburbs and treating a wide variety of patients in both the clinic and as a surgical assistant in the operating room.

The residency program benefits package includes a $36,000 annual salary, medical/dental coverage and paid vacation. Applications will be accepted through March 15, 2022. To apply, complete the full application and submit it along with all requested information by the due date. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

OTRF is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) foundation created by Dr. Steven Chudik to fund unbiased research and education to help keep people active and healthy. A board certified, Top Doctor orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Chudik specializes in shoulders, knees and sports medicine. He is a pioneer in arthroscopic surgery and holds six patents for arthroscopic procedures and instruments.
