Is it safe to have surgery?

As Illinois and other parts of the country emerge from COVID-19, individuals naturally are reluctant about resuming activities. One question my Team and I are asked daily by patients is whether it is safe to proceed with surgery.

I am a member of several professional organizations and very fortunate to have access to their national views, input and medical expertise on issues and trends. I recently received the attached information the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons developed in conjunction with more than 20 national orthopaedic organizations. These recommendations are based on sound scientific data and information available to the medical community. I hope this allays concerns and answers any questions you or a family member may have about an upcoming surgery. If not, please do not hesitate to contact me at 630-324-0402 or contactus@chudikmd.com/. Also, my Westmont and Western Springs offices are open and scheduling appointments.
