AMITA Health breaks ground at La Grange Memorial Hospital on a Center for Advanced Joint Replacement

AMITA Health recently broke ground for the construction of a state-of-the-art outpatient center at La Grange Memorial Hospital. Dr. Steven Chudik, medical director for La Grange Memorial Hospital and orthopaedic surgeon and arthroscopic specialist with the Shoulder, Knee and Sports Medicine Injury Clinic, pictured third from the left, participated in the momentous occasion along with clinical team members, physicians, executives, foundation board members and local Chicago-area dignitaries.

The 30,000-square-foot, two-story addition housing the Center for Advanced Joint Replacement will be equipped with the most advanced technology available. Among the many features that will be available for orthopaedic specialists like Dr. Chudik are computer navigation, robotic-assisted surgery and personalized instrumentation. The new Center also will have perioperative nursing, a hospital floor, operating rooms, anesthesiologists, preoperative testing and education.

“I look forward to the opening of the Joint Replacement Center, said Dr. Steven Chudik. “It will make LaGrange Memorial Hospital the destination place for shoulder, hip and knee replacements in the Chicago-area and even the Midwest,” he added.

Construction on the expansion is expected to be complete by the end of 2019.
